The American Association of Orthodontists recommends that children have their first orthodontic evaluation by age 7. At this age, Dr. Weinberg and Dr. Gatta can spot subtle problems with jaw growth and emerging teeth while some baby teeth are still present.

Early treatment can prevent more serious problems from developing and may make treatment at a later age shorter and less complicated. Not all children need early treatment, but it’s important to have them evaluated to be sure.
