How Does Invisalign Work?
Our team will perform an evaluation to determine if you’re a good candidate for Invisalign. Most patients who opt for Invisalign have mild to moderate orthodontic issues—if you have severe misalignment or other problems, you may have to undergo treatment with traditional braces.
Once we confirm that Invisalign is right for you, we will take a digital, 3D model of your teeth and send impressions to Invisalign’s lab to create a custom set of aligners tailored to you. Each aligner represents a point along your treatment path, and the number of aligners you will need depends on your unique orthodontic case. You may receive as few as 10 or up to 30 aligners.
As you replace each aligner, your teeth gradually move into their proper alignment. You’ll wear each aligner for about two weeks, and you can expect to visit our office approximately once every six weeks to check your progress.
