Meet Dr. Erica Weinberg Gatta
For Dr. Erica Weinberg Gatta, DMD, becoming an orthodontist was virtually always the goal. She grew up surrounded by her father and grandfather’s dedication and passion for orthodontics and, from a young age, knew she wanted to follow in their footsteps. Dr. Erica is excited to return home to her roots and create happy, healthy, and confident smiles at Ocean Blue Orthodontics in Bay Shore, New York.
Education
Dr. Erica was born and raised on the south shore of Long Island, graduating as valedictorian of Sayville High School. She attended Duke University, graduating summa cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa with a Bachelor in Science degree. She earned her Doctor of Medicine in Dentistry (DMD) degree at the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine where she was inducted into the Matthew Cryer honor society and awarded membership in Omicron Kappa Upsilon honor society. She then continued her specialty training at the University of Pennsylvania, earning a certificate in Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics.

Dr. Erica is overjoyed to join her father and maintain the same drive for excellence and compassionate treatment as both her father and grandfather. Her naturally caring and kindhearted nature helps patients feel comfortable and supported throughout their orthodontic journey.
